Exploring Nocturnal Landscapes in the Peaks

Hello, my name is Simon Taylor and I’m working on this project as part of my FdSc course on biology.

The project is designed to find and collate various ‘dark sky discovery places’. These will be small areas with a high quality of night sky (low levels of light pollution, good view etc) that are easily accessible for the public. Each place is to have a small internet page dedicated to it, with pictures, descriptions and links to other activities that could be done in the area. These pages will then be listed on one main page, from which the public can find the dark sky place that is closest or best for them.

You can check out the Wildlife Trust pages for nottingham and Derbyshire for some good locations... eg http://www.nottinghamshirewildlife.org/nature-reserves/
